To write a piece to describe myself on my website full of poetry seems redundant, because you can get to know a lot about me by reading on this site. To explain how I got to writing is a different story. I’ve always written. Note’s, thoughts, scribbles, sentences and longer stories. Just to vent really.
I’ve written as a journalist professionally, but even after that my cloud-storage kept filling up with random things. As I grew I’ve found that poetry is a way for me to show my interpretation of feelings and moments, and I really love to do this.
I’ve long kept my creative writing hidden. I was shy and scared for other people’s honesty, scared that it might have an impact. Now I am no longer shy. I am actually curious what the effect of my writing can be, and what it will bring to me and others. So don’t be shy and leave a comment when you feel something.
I’ve been a bartender, a journalist, a writer, a paperboy, a book salesman, a traffic warden and many other things. I loved all of those things (except being a traffic warden), because I’ve learned so much doing them. Being around people, in different roles, has pushed me to observe and react accordingly to provide the best.
Unknowingly I have absorbed many of the behaviors and stories during my jobs that now inspire me when I am writing. I am still learning and observing every day. I put what I make of it into form, and I hope you like it. Enjoy!
