I’m just a girl dancing on boat
My gray slip ins touching the deck-dancefloor
I move one foot over the other not minding eyes
My afro moves just half a second behind
My gray jumper will keep me warm
Till the homely waters are in sight
My blue skirt betrays my earlier night
When they where there with whom I can swarm
Earphones and the music available tell
Where I should put my feet when
Without others dancing around
I don’t need to know anything
I try to distract myself and to focus
And I’m fucking succeeding
Carving my own path home
For now I am enough
Just a girl
Dancing across the water
