I would love to have that prince
Riding his horse with nonchalance
Smiling and approaching calmly
Knowing we’ll be happy ever after
But horses are tough in upkeep
And smiles are hard to keep up
Sometimes I need space
How long exactly is ‘ever after’
I would love to see a whole new world
Being flown into that dreamy life
Holding hands in the summer sun
Whistling along with the birds
But my world now is pretty wonderful
And ascended dreams are rarely true
I get annoyed with sticky clinginess
And chirping is really quite irritating
But yes I do want to meet him
This wonderful perfect one for me
I hope he understands how I am
That the fairytale things are not me
I won’t go for a happily ever after
I’ll go for a happy now
and commit to enjoy every moment
Truly give my all to him, if there’s balance
And I’ll commit to everything, as long as it’s real
