Heaven must be getting overly crowded, so logically there must be a system to create space.
Is there a first in first out policy in place, or is it based on your goodness score overall?
The amount of good deeds in life must be your rent for a given time in the pearly white clouds.
But, does squatting a fly take away seconds? What about drunken insults, costly minutes, hours?
The innocent hours of skipping school as a kid? The horrible ways you unknowingly hurt others?
Does it work like that, did that cost you weeks or god forbid, even years of your deserved bliss?
If I could decide, I would put you over there, on a separate fluffy cloud to the left. I know why.
You still don’t need to prove yourself to others, even if they’re more experienced angels.
The personification of goodness on this tiny little planet in this gigantic universe was you.
Or is it based on current karma, apparent opinion, the warm thoughts of the currently living?
If a person fully forgets about you, do you feel it, like a part of your soul is being ripped away?
No. I spoke to a person this week who would’ve loved to have known you. That must count.
Anything must count
I need there to be space
So you’ll still be there
When I finally arrive
So we’ll be able to hold each other again
